Chinese Language Society

Introduction:
The Chinese Language Society of Multimedia University(Melaka campus) was established on 27 August 1997. As in many universities around Malaysia, the usage of the Chinese Language Society in MMU was unfortunately quite limited at first. With the enthusiasm towards Chinese Language, a group of 9 students decided to bear the responsibility of forming the Chinese Language Society. The 1st Annual General Meeting was held on 29 August 1997 and all the students were participated actively in the election of high committees in Chinese Language Society. Despite the problems and obstacles that existed, their determination and perseverance brought to their unity. Chinese Language Society runs smoothly till today with all the support from MMU students.

Objective

To have steady connections with other races and societies, in order to reach the aim of unity of the nation.
To publicize the Chinese culture, and at the same time accept and combine with the other well practiced culture of other races with an open mind.
To introduce the Chinese Language as well as the culture to the others.
To come out with University Scholars with independent thinking, and future leaders of the nation.
To have knowledge on the information technology and computer system,, in order to strive towards the era of information technology and information system.
To lead the Multimedia University to become a world class university.

华文学会简介

多媒体大学（马六甲院校）华文学会的创办过程，可说是甜酸苦辣样样齐全。那一段刻骨铭心的情节相信已烙印在各个创办者的心上。正如其他大学般，多媒体大学（马六甲院校）也有一群热爱华文的莘莘学子。虽然当年多媒体大学举办活动的风气不似其它大学浓厚，但烦闷的日子致使一群热爱华文的子弟在拉拢了不少志同道合者后，毅然地承担起筹办华文学会的使命。创办者当中更包括了不谙中文的朋友。虽然语言沟通上存有障碍，但潜在他们内心的毅力与目标，让他们成功的冲破了之间的藩篱，串起九条心。经过一番努力后，多媒体大学（马六甲院校）华文学会于一九九七年八月二十七日成立，于同年八月二十九日召开了首次会员大会。从预科班，大一，到大二的会员们都非常踊跃地参与当天的改选仪式。就这样，第一届华文学会的理事诞生了。大家都共同的希望在未来的日子里，能一同努力地把华文学会办得有声有色，使它成为多媒体大学（马六甲院校）里最活跃的学会，更能成为大马数一数二的学会！

学会宗旨

-与各友族及各社团保持友好关系，朝向国民团结及富强的目标。

-提倡中华文化，同时以思想开化来吸取及融合其他民族的优良传统。

-推广华文华语。

-提倡和培养有独立思考的大专生，以及富有领导能力的国家栋梁。

-掌握资讯与电脑知识，迈向资讯工艺与资讯世纪。

-领导多媒体大学成为世界第一级大学。
