文化文学股 Culture and Literature Division

文化文学股成立于二零零三年, 主要通过活动将中华文化精髓及文学精神概念灌输于多媒体大学的学生以延续中国人的不朽思想。此股开办各种不同类型的班, 例：舞蹈班、华文班、二十四节令鼓班、书法班、相声组和辩论组。除此之外，开班的主要原因是盼能让会员们在课余时间里多一个学习的空间，增进自己对文化和文学的认知。会员们也可通过参与班活动结交志趣相投的朋友，扩大社交圈子。

Culture and Literature Division was formed in year 2003 in order to promote the essence of Chinese culture and thinking among MMU students through various activities, which included Chinese Cultural Dance class, mandarin class, 24 festive drum class, calligraphy class, xiang sheng(Chinese Crosstalk) group and debate group.


文化文学股活动

1．舞蹈班
舞蹈班主攻于华族舞蹈，当然也尝试教学以及排练其他民族及民间舞蹈，如泰国，沙巴及砂劳越两州的少数民族舞蹈。舞蹈的意境与美，并不在于高矮肥瘦，而是结合了音乐与肢体，并与我们的心，融会贯通，然后再告诉观众演艺的故事。

Chinese Cultural Dance class
The Chinese Cultural Dance class focuses mainly on Chinese traditional dance and sometimes Thai and East Malaysia cultural dance. Its main objective is to help the students understand more about Chinese dance and to improve their skills in the combination of music and body posture.


2．华文班
教导华文的媒介,从最基本的简单对话，到汉语拼音，到较为深奥的文言文，华文班开放给所有想要学习中文的外籍朋友们和想要对自身文化有更深认识的同学们参与，并共同学习。我们以华文的基础为教学重点，希望通过最简易的华文,带动多媒体大学生学习华文的风气。

Mandarin class
Mandarin class is to promote the Chinese language to MMU students, which is opened to everyone including international students. It will starts from the most basic conversation to higher level knowledge such as han yu pinyin and even ancient passages.


3．辩论组
辩论是对某一件事情有不同意見的人，依照共同认定的规则，当面说出自己的想法，或对反对的理由提出讨论，使对方也能赞同我方的想法。辩论赛的过程涉及道 德涵养、文化积累、知识结构、逻辑思辩、语言艺术、整体默契、仪表仪态为一体的，拥有很高的欣赏价值，是个人能力与团队精神的充分展示。学习辩论可以培养组织力、思考力、反应力、聆听能力、自信心与勇气、知识 领域、民主风度以及解决问题的能力。

Debate group

The objective of forming Debate group is to improve the rational and critical thinking skills among the students in order to debate in a patient and skillful manner. Besides it is also train their technique of interpretation, analysis and presentation. Other than that, it encourages people to know more about general knowledge and current issues.


4．书法班

在洁白的纸上，靠毛笔运动的灵活多变和水墨的丰富性，留下斑斑迹相，在纸面上形成有意味的黑白构成，所以，书法是构成艺术。正像在西方美术中建筑和雕塑统领着其他门类造型艺术一样，书法和绘画则统领着中国美术的其他门类，而列为中国美术之首。至于工艺美术和民间美术，也不同程度地受到书法的影响。书法可以视为中国美术之魂。

Calligraphy class
Calligraphy class show the culture of unique ancient culture of the Chinese, which is passed down since 5000 years ago. It is considered as an art by using animal fur brush and charcoal ink to write in various Chinese fonts. By taking part in this activity, it improves one’s patience and calligraphy skills.


5．相声班
相声班创2004/2005。在这一年里的，相声班的导师与班长不断为相声班的学生增添种种新的知识，从认识相声的素语、种类、寻找脚本、练习、背稿到不断的改进。所谓“失败乃成功之母”，在短短的九个月里，相声班的学生已经成功的举办了两次大、小型的发表会。今年4月22日，于Studio A举行的《相由心声六》得到热烈的回响。

Xiang Sheng group(Chinese Crosstalk)
Xiang Sheng is also translated as Chinese crosstalk, which is a traditional Chinese comedic performance in the form of a dialogue or, much less often, a monologue or, even less frequently, a multi-player talk show. It requires the perfect coordination of both parties in order to present the whole performance in a fluent manner. It creates a channel for students to interact with each other and improve relationships.


6．二十四节令鼓
二 十四节令鼓是道地的马来西亚创作。1988年马来西亚第九届舞蹈节以九鼓串击开幕, 雄壮的鼓声相互撞击, 震撼之心, 全场的观众都神思凝集, 人们蓦然发现了鼓。二十四面单皮鼓代表一个节令，鼓配为节令，将呐喊与鼓声结合为一体的一个初步概念。在陈徽崇老师大力支持下，二十四节令鼓应运而生。二十 四节令鼓是中国传统的节气作为精神內涵，赋予不同鼓法所研创而成。二十四节令鼓是融合书法、节奏及武术的套鼓。表演時节奏快慢有致，一气呵成。整齐化一的动作，往往能营造出磅礡的气势。再加上队形的变化繁複， 因此欣赏二十四节令鼓，不论在听觉或视觉上都相当能震撼人心。

24 Festive Drum class
24 festive drum is an excellent creation by a Malaysian Chinese, which uses 24 drums to represent the seasons of a year. By combining the spirit of wushu and changing formations, it is performed by hitting the drums in rhythms to create fabulous view and sound effects to the audience. It instills good team spirit among class members through training and performances.
