微晶创作坊 Micros Song Composing Division

微晶创作坊于2000年3月26日成立。至于为何成立，则要追溯到1999年的华文学会。当时，创作风气在多媒体大学（马六甲院校）刚刚吹起，许多对创作有兴趣的人都聚集在一起，并在华文学会文化股之下组成了创作组。当时会员们只不过是写写歌，娱人娱己一番而已。一直到2000年3月，多媒体大学（赛城院校）的创作坊举办一场全国性的创作发表会，并邀请马六甲院校的华文学会前往呈现创作歌曲。就在这时，创作组才想到为自己正式取一个名字, 名为“微晶”。“微晶”代表了一群志同道合者在互相的配合与合作下，抱着共同的理想将创作发扬光大。


Micros Song Composing Division was established on 26th March 2000 by a group of music enthusiasts. The reason established was because during the year 1999, song composing was gaining popularity in Multimedia University (Melaka campus), thus Chinese Language Society had decided to establish the Micros Song Composing Division. Since then, Micros Song Composing Division has been growing rapidly and the members have produced many songs. Recognition from competitions and other similar song composing group marks the maturing of Micros. During the 3rd Malaysian Inter-Varsity Chinese Song Composing Contest organized by Multimedia University (Cyberjaya Campus), Micros won the title of the Best Music Award. That award served as a milestone for Micros, as it shows that the standard of music appreciation and original music composing in MMU is steadily improving today.

多媒体微晶华语词曲创作发表会(微创)
多媒体微晶华语词曲创作发表会(微创)是其中一个微晶创作坊的活动。举办发表会的主要原因是希望透过表演的方式发掘更多的创作好手，让词曲创作人互相切磋及学习。除此之外，也希望透过发表会带动及提高校内的创作风气。主办此项活动的第二个出发点是要提供一个舞台于演绎者及乐手们，以增加他们的舞台经验。此活动也让大专生能在重重的读书及考试压力，与消闲娱乐之间找到一个平衡点。

另外，发表会将开放给赛城沁瓶子创作坊的坊员，希望能达到两院校的交流。这可为创作坊达到一定的宣传效果，让外界认识微晶，也希望微晶的坊员有机会和校外的各个音乐团体交流。

Micros Chinese Song Composing Concert
Micros Chinese Song Composing Concert is one of the activities organized by Micros Song Composing Division. This event can bring up a lot of talented singers. Along with the development of this division, the division is lack of singers and performers. In order to discover more students with the ability and passion for singing, Micros Song Composing Division organized this event. The second reason of organizing this event is to provide students an opportunity to perform and gain experience. Performers also can take part in doing arrangements for the songs. Students also have a chance to present different types of songs and discover their own style. The third reason is to hope that students can reduce their stress and tension through music. Besides, this Micros Chinese Song Composing Concert will be opened for student from Cyberjaya campus and hoping to give a chance for student from both campuses to correspond. This can help promote Micros Song Composing Division and also hope to have a chance to communicate with other musician.


微晶小型发表会
微晶小型发表会是多媒体微晶华语词曲创作发表会(微创)的其中一个附属活动。这项活动的活动是为了提供一个平台给坊员们发表他们的创作。坊员们能在这项发表会中展现他们的才华与成果，并互相学习以便能够达到更高的境界。

Micros Mini Song Composing Concert
Micros Mini Song Composing Concert is one of the sub-events of Micros Chinese Song Composing Concert. This concert was organized to provide a platform for the division members to publish their composed songs. The division members are able to show their talents and hard work in this music industry through this concert. They may also learn from each other in order to achieve their goals in a higher level.


签唱会
微晶创作坊也会举办校园签唱会。观众除了能得知歌手的创作心得，也能对创作有了更深一层的了解。曾到过多媒体大学举办签唱会的歌手包括陈奕迅，张智成，梁文音，李志清等等。

Singers’ Showcase
Micros Song Composing Division will be in charge of organizing singers’ showcase as well. Through the showcase, singers will share their experiences with the audiences regarding about their life with music. As a result, the audiences had learnt a lot from his sharing and unquestionable it is very beneficial to the audiences. Singers who organized their showcase in MMU before are Eason Chan, Z-Chen, Liang Wen Yin, Lee Zhi Qing and etc.


坊员聚会
微晶创作坊在每个学期都会举办一至两次的坊员聚会。坊员聚会的目的是为了要让坊员有机会认识彼此，并分享彼此对音乐的看法。在活动结束后，坊员也能使用由坊所提供的乐器来练习。

Micros Members Gathering
During every trimester, Micros Song Composing Division will organize at least one members gathering. The objective of this gathering is to provide a chance for the members to know more among themselves and also to share their thoughts and opinions about music. At the end of the gathering, members are able to use the instruments which provided by Micros Song Composing Division to practice their band.


吉他班
微晶创作坊在每个学期都会举办吉他班。导师是一位马六甲著名的吉他老师。在班上，班员能够学习到基本的吉他技巧并弹奏歌曲。此外，助教也将会被安排以让班员能学习地更加顺利。


Guitar Class
Micros Song Composing Division will organize the guitar class every trimester. The teacher is a Malacca guitarist. Throughout the classes, members are able to learn some basic of the guitar. Moreover, some experienced guitarist from Micros Song Composing Division will be assigned to help the members during the classes.
